Cornerstone is seeking experienced Clinical leaders! Our agencies are passionate about providing quality home health and hospice to folks who need it, and are looking for a Director of Clinical Services who shares our drive, vision, and commitment. A critical leader in the agency, the DCS is responsible for outcomes, quality assurance, performance improvement, clinical training, compliance, survey preparedness, and hiring. This position plays an integral role in team building and culture development by incorporating our core values into our systems and processes. Director of Nursing and/or Director of Clinical Services experience is strongly encouraged.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
In conjunction with the Administrator, the DCS is responsible for the overall planning, direction, coordination, management and supervision of all clinical operations. The DCS assures quality of care by reviewing and assessing services and overall compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction of Administrator, plans, coordinates, directs and controls the operations of the Agency.
Oversees the nursing staff, ensuring that the team follows the established policies and procedures and complies with all applicable standards and regulations.
Participates in the development, review and revision of policies and procedure; goals and objectives; and standards of care relevant to patient services and personnel functions.
Assures, promotes, and assesses compliance with regulatory agency standards.
Responsible for the design of workflow procedures. Identifies and monitors the achievement of desired clinical outcomes to include assessment, physician orders, insurance authorizations, utilization of services, care coordination and documentation standards.
Facilitates patient care including organization and management within established policies, procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters and strategic objectives.
Coordinates all patient services by reviewing plans of treatment, assuring case conferences/interdisciplinary team meetings are conducted, reviewing clinical and progress notes, periodic patient evaluations.
Responsible for developing and participating in Performance Improvement activities in accordance with organizational plans.
Aids in the Agency's goal of retaining quality personnel by assisting in the hiring process, then orienting, training, evaluating and disciplining personnel within established policy.
Assesses and evaluates staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel in relation to patient care required.
Ensures orientation and ongoing training programs are developed and provided for Agency personnel, and that all required training is done in a timely, complete and well documented fashion.
Assists the Administrator is ongoing performance development of staff, including coaching and annual reviews.
Maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payer requirements for home health and hospice reimbursement.
Communicates and coordinates with physician's offices, payers, patients/families, outpatient services and inpatient coordinators, regarding the care and status of patients.
Develops and implements new programs as appropriate to meet identified needs, improve clinical outcomes, and support the continuum of patient care.
May perform duties as RN in the field as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed RN with at least 5 years experience in the field.
Valid Driver's License.
Current vehicle insurance.
CPR certification required
Strong written and oral communication skills in person and over the phone.
Strong team skills
Organized
Flexible-responds well to changing priorities and conditions
At least one (1) year supervisory and administrative experience
Knowledge of the duties and functions of the home health and hospice agency and its relationship to the healthcare community.
Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal guidelines and regulations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
