Responsibilities:
As the Medical Records Clerk you will ensure the safety, security, and confidentiality of senior patient information.
You will work under immediate supervision to maintain files for both medical treatment as well as administrative data like insurance card numbers.
You will sort and organize patient files by name or by number for easy retrieval and updating and create digital copies of health records for quick access and to secure patient information against system failures.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of nursing home, healthcare and medical records preferred experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain data accuracy.
Proficient in MS Office.
