All U.S. Citizens Temporary (3 months) Full Time EMCBC is looking for experienced tractor-trailer drivers for a three-month assignment. A successful candidate in this position will be an experienced long-distance hazardous material (HAZMAT) endorsed operator. You will be contributing to the EM's missionby transporting Class 7 hazardous material cargo cross-country from the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio, to the Nevada Nuclear Security Site for safe, permanent disposal.Drivers with experience using QualComm or TransComm guidance systems andDOE Motor Carrier Evaluation Program (MCEP) qualified drivers are highly desired. You must be a United States Citizen. This employer participates in the e-Verify program. Relocation expenses are not authorized. See Other Information section regarding Selective Service requirements. As a Motor Vehicle Operator and member of a 2-driver team, you will:
Operate commercial grade motor vehicles (primarily truck tractors with semi-trailers or full trailers) to transport hazardous material cargo (Class 7) cross-country.
Ensure shipping and accounting documents are with the shipment and reflect actual condition, quantities, and type of material.
Deliver the cargo in accordance with specified driver instructions and follow the route(s) designated by the employer.
There is no education requirement for this position. Education cannot be substituted for experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials Endorsement;
Possession of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), current within 30 days from state licensing agency;
Possession of a current Medical Examiner's Certificate;
Ability to meet all Driver Qualification requirements specified in the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) at 49 CFR 391.
Possession of documentation of completing training required by the Hazardous Materials Regulations and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49 CFR 172 Subpart H and 49 CFR 390.3)
Possession of documentation for verification of current negative drug test result
This position is subject to a background investigation. Failure to satisfy the background check will result in cancellation of employment offer and/or termination.
This position is subject to random drug testing.
Physical Effort
Work is performed on hard surfaces in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Moderate physical effort is exerted when climbing on tractors to hook up service lines, performing daily inspections, or controlling a tractor-trailer with a heavy load.
Working Conditions
This position will require extensive long-distance and night driving.Drivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all kinds of traffic and weather on public roads (or equivalent). They drive in heavy traffic and at highway speeds over complicated road and interchange systems. They are exposed to the danger of serious accidents or while performing the routine tasks associated with driving requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - In addition to the General Experience requirement, to qualify at the WG-8 level you must:
1. Possess at least 12 months experience which demonstrates the ability to operate one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of up to 80,000 pounds (such as truck tractors with semi or full trailers) over long distances, varying grades, congested areas, etc.;
2. have experience operating vehicles and tractors, some of which may be equipped with special-purpose powered equipment; and
3. have experience operating communication guidance system equipment, such as Transcomm or Qualcomm.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR - Applicants must be currently certified and fully qualified/trained/endorsed to transport HAZMAT.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS - Your application and resume should demonstrate that you possess the following competencies/job elements. Do NOT provide a separate narrative written response. 1. Reliability and dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator - ability to work without more than normal supervision.
2. Operation of Motor Vehicles - Possession of a current CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement, a current medical certificate and no disqualifying offenses.
3. Work Practices - Keeping things neat, clean and in order.
4. Comprehension - Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation).
5. Driver Safety - Ability to drive safely (motor vehicles)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
